Arkansas Department of Agriculture - Arkansas Agriculture Board issued the following announcement on April 23.
Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) has been confirmed in states across the county. While Arkansas has not seen a confirmed case, it’s important for poultry owners to stay alert and increase biosecurity measures.
In today’s HPAI Q&A, Livestock & Poultry Division Director Patrick Fisk discusses steps poultry owners can take and steps the Arkansas Department of Agriculture has already taken to mitigate risk. Note that case numbers change on an almost daily basis, so any stated statistics may be outdated. Find up to date case numbers at https://bit.ly/HPAImap
