A woman from Lafayette County, Arkansas, has claimed a $50,000 prize from the $50,000 Frenzy instant lottery game. D. Bobbitt won the prize after purchasing the ticket at M & M Quik Stop #1 in Stamps following her work shift. On March 3, she claimed her winnings at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center.
Bobbitt usually opts for lower-cost tickets but decided to try her luck with a $20 ticket this time. "Something was just telling me to buy a ticket," she explained. As she scratched off the ticket in her car on the way home, she realized she had won the game's top prize of $50,000.
"I screamed!" Bobbitt said when recounting her reaction to lottery officials. The driver initially thought something was wrong and pulled over before learning about Bobbitt's win.
With her winnings, Bobbitt plans to pay off debt and save money while continuing to play lottery games. The $50,000 Frenzy game still has 67 top prizes available.
The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) aims to support education through its sales and has contributed over $1.4 billion for scholarships since its inception in 2009. More than 770,000 scholarships have been awarded to students in Arkansas through this initiative.
