The National Day of Racial Healing is a time to contemplate our shared values and create the blueprint together for #HowWeHeal from the effects of racism. Launched on Jan. 17, 2017, by W.K. Kellogg Foundation's Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation initiative, the National Day of Racial Healing is an opportunity to bring all people together in their common humanity and inspire collective action to create a more just and equitable world. The IDEALS Institute will provide local programming as a part of this larger nationwide initiative.

The institute will host a 90-minute virtual panel titled: "What Does Healing Mean?" from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17. The panelists will engage in conversation about what healing means for their respective communities and/or the communities that they serve. The panelists and moderator are:

Mallory Taylor, executive assistant and special projects to the executive director, The Momentary

Lowell Taylor, host of the KUAF R-word Podcast

Irvin Camacho, bail disruptor, The Bail Project, and host of District 3 Podcast

Lakisha Bradley, founder/CEO, MY-T-BY-DESIGN Therapeutic Art Studios
