NORTHWEST PA COLLEGIATE ACADEMY: Important information about student schedules

We realize that the beginning of the school year can be stressful if there are issues with your schedule. We are dedicated to working with you to fix those issues.

Please read this important information about schedule changes:

Each student selected classes last spring. Final schedules reflect students’ first choices or alternates choices. Students and their parents signed off on these final choices in the spring.

Please do not call the office to speak with a counselor. Schedule changes are done with the student after a schedule change form is submitted. Schedule change forms are available in the main office.

Changes may be made only if we made a mistake and you were placed into a course that you didn't request.

If there is a blank or empty period in your schedule, report to the guidance department during that period. Please do not come to the guidance office during other periods.

Taking into consideration the above, if you feel you would like to speak with a guidance counselor, you must pick up a schedule change form in the main office. A guidance counselor will send a pass based on urgency and timing. Please do not just come to the guidance office — we are extraordinarily busy this time of year.

Schedules are first available on Infinite Campus (IC). If you do not have an account — most students new to Erie’s Public Schools will not have access yet — a printed schedule will be available to you in homeroom on the first day of school.

Again, we will work with you during the first week of school to fix issues with your schedule. If all students follow this procedure, we should have most issues fixed by the end of the week.
