As a new survey ranks Arkansas as the worst state to be a police officer amid a jump in crime in the state, Alicia Walton is running for prosecuting attorney of the Sixth Judicial District with a soft-on-crime platform.

"Alicia believes that the current criminal legal system is fundamentally flawed and needs reform-minded individuals in order to achieve equity," her campaign website says.

According to her campaign disclosure report, Walton is being supported by George Soros, who has been backing DA candidates across the nation who support easing prosecution of criminal activity.

"Crime increases around the nation where George Soros-funded DAs and prosecutors reign," the Arkansas Republican Party said on Twitter. "Now as crime is on the rise in Little Rock, Soros turns his attention and cash to the Central AR Prosecuting Attorney's Race, supporting soft on crime Alicia Walton."

Crime in Little Rock is on the rise, KARK reported. The number of homicides in the first two months of 2022 was reported to be 62% higher than the five-year average, while aggravated assault cases were up 42%. Overall, violent crime in Little Rock is up 38%, the station said.

Evidence shows that crime increases under Soros-funded district attorneys such as John Chisholm, district attorney of Milwaukee, Macrotrends reported.

A recent study by WalletHub ranked Arkansas as the worst state in the country to be a police officer.

According to the study, Arkansas has the highest number of police officer deaths per 1,000 officers. The state also ranked 50th for median income for law enforcement officers (adjusted for cost of living) and 40th in the number of police officers per capita, KAIT8 reported.
