ARKANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY: Soil and Water Education Conference is Set for Jan. 26

Arkansas State University issued the following announcement on Jan. 19.

The 24th annual Arkansas Soil and Water Education Conference will address the industry's latest issues and trends. This year’s event will be presented online, from 10 a.m. until noon, Wednesday, Jan. 26.

Speakers will include Brandon Cain and Jan Yingling on irrigation technology adoption; Jennifer James and Mike Hamilton on how to cash in with technology; and Clay Smith and Dr. Joe Massey on irrigation automation.

The Arkansas Soil and Water Conference Steering Committee includes Adam Eades (chair), Troyce Barnett, Arlene AdvientoBorbe, Jennifer Bouldin, Tim Burcham, Jerry Don Clark, Kevin Cochran, Steve Green, Mike Hamilton, Ahmed Hashem, Jaylan Haskin, Chris Henry, Joe Massey, Scott Matthews, Michele Reba, Spring Sneed, Tina Gray Teague, Chuck Wilson and Jan Yingling.

Conference sponsors are: Better Cotton; Aquarius Farm Controls by Applied Digital, Inc.; Entergy Solutions – Agricultural Energy Solutions; AgHeritage Farm Credit Services; P&R Surge Systems, Inc.; Arkansas Water Resources Center, University of Arkansas; Farm Credit Associations of Arkansas; EcoTox Research Facility at Arkansas State University; USDA Agricultural Research Service; University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture; A-State College of Agriculture; Judd Hill Foundation, Inc.; and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.
