Wade Lucas Farms has been announced as one of this year’s Arkansas Farm Trail stops, according to an April 24 statement. The farm, run by Wade and Marlene Lucas who relocated from Florida to Arkansas, offers a variety of products including strawberries and fresh-baked pies.

The inclusion of Wade Lucas Farms on the trail highlights ongoing efforts to connect local communities with agriculture. The Arkansas Farm Bureau Foundation supports such initiatives by funding projects that link farming with local activities, according to the official website.

The Foundation serves as the charitable fundraising arm of the Arkansas Farm Bureau organization and engages supporters from over 70 counties in Arkansas, according to the official website. It raises funds through events like its annual trap shoot and provides matching contributions up to $30,000 for specific initiatives. Each year, it also matches contributions up to $30,000 for hunger relief through these fundraising efforts.

Additionally, the Foundation seeks to promote awareness of farming issues while providing financial aid for education, research and rural support in communities across the state, according to the official website.

These activities are designed not only to benefit farms like Wade Lucas Farms but also enhance rural life throughout Arkansas. Looking ahead, continued community engagement and fundraising events are expected as part of ongoing support for agricultural projects in the region.
