The U.S. Department of Agriculture has introduced a $16 billion aid package through the Supplemental Disaster Relief Program to support eligible crop losses for 2023 and 2024. The first stage of sign-up commenced on July 10 at local Farm Service Agency (FSA) offices. Prefilled applications were sent to eligible producers on July 9. This phase targets producers who have suffered crop losses and received assistance under crop insurance or the Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program. More information is available at farmers.gov/recover or by contacting local USDA Service Centers.
