Two Arkansas residents have each won $50,000 playing the $50,000 Frenzy scratch-off game. S. Hughes from Atkins claimed his prize after purchasing the winning ticket at Tobacco Town Atkins. The win came on a day when Hughes was dealing with vehicle troubles and decided to try his luck with lottery tickets.

“I about fell over,” Hughes said upon realizing his win. He shared the news first with the cashier and then his wife, who initially feared something was wrong when she saw him “doubled over.” Hughes plans to use his winnings to repair his truck and expand his business.

Travis S., another winner from Roland, bought his ticket at Circle K in Little Rock while running errands. Although he plays lottery games only twice a month, Travis felt drawn to the $50,000 Frenzy ticket. Upon scratching it off in his car, he discovered he had won the top prize.

“That can’t be right,” Travis thought initially but confirmed his win by checking the instructions on the back of the ticket. He shared the news with his father, who believed him immediately.

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has announced that 40 top prizes of $50,000 each remain for this game. Since its inception in 2009, the lottery has sold over $7.9 billion and returned more than $1.5 billion for scholarships benefiting Arkansas students.
