A third suspect was arrested on April 27 in connection with a residential burglary that took place last December, according to the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said Jesus Lara, age 35, was taken into custody after deputies received a report that he had arrived at a residence on Church Street in Colt, Arkansas. Deputies located Lara inside the home and arrested him without incident.

Investigators said Lara was the final remaining suspect sought in this case. He has been charged with accomplice to residential burglary, which is classified as a Class C felony, as well as theft of property involving firearms and criminal mischief for damage caused to the residence.

Authorities believe Lara previously dated the victim’s daughter and knew that the homeowner would be out of town when the burglary occurred. He is scheduled to appear before a judge today for bond determination.
