The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in Arkansas organized a small business roundtable at the Apollo on Emma in Springdale. The event featured a discussion with Representatives Robin Lundstrum, DeAnna Hodges, and Steve Unger, giving small business owners the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the lawmakers.

NFIB State Director Katie Burns highlighted the importance of these discussions amidst ongoing economic pressures. "It’s always a privilege to meet with our members and facilitate important discussions with lawmakers. Inflation continues to put enormous pressure on Main Street Arkansans, exacerbating the challenges of owning and operating a business," she stated.

Burns noted the role of small business owners in advocating for reduced taxes and a lighter regulatory framework to facilitate business operations in Arkansas. "Our small business owners were able to make their voices heard and advocate on behalf of their fellow job creators, urging lawmakers to cut taxes, reduce the regulatory burden, and make it easier to do business here in our state,” Burns said. She also expressed gratitude to Representative Lundstrum for hosting the event, along with appreciation for Representatives Hodges and Unger's involvement.

During the roundtable, Rep. Lundstrum engaged with small business owners addressing their questions and concerns about state-level issues affecting their operations.

Katie Burns expressed continuous commitment to supporting the small business community through ongoing engagement with policymakers at such events.
