The Arkansas Department of Agriculture held a reception to celebrate Veterans Day and the 247th Birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps with an official cake-cutting ceremony. A sword is used to cut the cake as a reminder that Marines are a band of warriors, committed to carrying the sword, so that our nation may live in peace.
The Department would like to say thank you to our country’s veterans and to those currently serving in our armed forces. It is an honor to work alongside the many Department staff who have served our country.
