ICYMI…Congratulations to our very own Spc. Caden Sample, 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team; Staff Sgt. J. T. Price, 142nd Field Artillery Brigade; Tech. Sgt. Troy Cooper, 188th Wing, Arkansas Air National Guard; and Tech. Sgt. Anthony Miller, 189th Airlift Wing Arkansas Air National Guard. They were part of the Kikos Kountry RV/Arkansas All Military softball team that won the 2022 USSSA Military World Tournament in Viera, Fla., on Sept. 24. The team consisted of active duty members, military retirees, and former military members.
The team raced through the early rounds of the double-elimination, two-day tournament with wins of 20-9, 26-11, and 17-9, and 12-0. They faced a team from Barksdale Air Force Base, La., in the championship game, losing the first game, 26-28, and sorting back to win the second game, 15-5, to bring home the title.
