Cherokee Village issued the following announcement on April 1.
The city of Cherokee Village will be conducting a forum on the one percent sales tax proposal to be on the May 24th ballot. The forum will be held at Omaha Center on Tuesday, April 5th from 6-7:30pm. City Council will make a presentation followed by the opportunity for comments from the audience. There will be a sign-up sheet at the auditorium entrance for citizens who wish to speak. There is a 3-minute time limit per speaker.
We will also have a question/answer session on April 26th at City Hall. We request questions be submitted in advance of the date either in writing or via email: cityhall@cherokeevillage.org in order for a thorough answer can be provided. If necessary, another question/answer session will be held on May 25th.
