Northern Arkansas Telephone Company (NATCO) is looking for a System Administrator to join our IT team. This position has primary responsibility for the installation, maintenance, and securing of major equipment and systems which is used to offer services to NATCO and NATCO’s customers. Ideal applicants would have experience with installation, maintenance, and security of Windows and Linux systems.
The System Administrator is responsible for:
• Maintenance, configuration and reliable operations of computer systems and servers (virtual and physical)
• Full system management to include Installation, configuration, upgrading and troubleshooting of computer software, management of both virtual and physical servers and integration system automation processes.
• Troubleshooting for hardware, software and operating systems through diagnostic testing. Documentation associated with the problem and resolution.
• Capacity planning, storage planning and database performance management
• Detailed documentation of processes, customizations and configuration
Qualified candidates for this position should:
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Have a bachelor's degree in an IT related field or experience in computer science, business or math.
• Valid drivers license with no major violations
• Demonstrate strong analytical reasoning
• Strong communication skills
