Northern Arkansas Telephone Co recently issued the following announcement.
We are looking for a Plant Assigner to join our Engineering Team. Ideal applicants would have experience with OSP facilities, cable assignment for both fiber and copper facilities, and electronics assignment experience. CAD design/drafting experience preferred.
Our Plant Assigner is responsible for:
- Accurate engineering and assigning of locations for all new service order activity and moves.
- Plant assignments and assignment of cable for new locations, new cables and existing locations.
- Ability to use a CAD/GIS system and assignments in AdTran and Calix.
- Responsible for maintaining plant records to include input, drafting and facilities database administration
- Pass a background check and drug test. This is a safety sensitive position.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a valid driver license with no major violations.
- Understand communication technologies, new technologies in the market and industry changes.
- Demonstrate analytical reasoning ability.
- Communicate with customers effectively and professionally.
