Arkansas issued the following announcement on Feb. 9.
The College of Engineering Office of Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion has partnered with Career Services for the roundtable session "DEI Dialogues for Upcoming Professionals" to be held 5-6 p.m. Feb. 17 in the Department of Industrial Engineering lounge.
Six facilitators will address various DEI topics for discussion:
Disclosure and Accommodations — Laura James
Communications in a Diverse Workplace — Robyn Williams
Unconscious and Conscious Bias — Adrain Smith
Microaggressions and Microaffirmations — Patrice Sims
Professionalism and Your Authentic Self — Teresa Simpson
How to Leverage Your Privilege to Help Others and Create Change — Bryan Hill
This event will consist of a five minute introduction, followed by three 15-minute roundtable discussions. Students will have the opportunity to rotate between topics or remain at the same table. Pre-packaged snacks will be provided.
