Northern Arkansas Telephone Co issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.
We are looking for a Network Services Analyst to join our Network Services Team. Ideal applicants would have experience with installation, maintenance and repair of switching equipment, network access equipment and toll facilities within NATCO’s service area.
Our Network Services Analyst is responsible for:
• Maintaining network access equipment (Calix, Adtran, Juniper, and Cisco) Transport nodes, special circuits, CS1500, multiplexers and other transmission equipment.
• Configuring and maintaining MPLS VPNs.
• Software upgrades and patches to existing systems.
• Performing documentation, traffic studies, and other network reporting as required.
• Transmitting AMA records to ensure safe transmission of billing records.
• Installing and provisioning fiber and digital subscriber line service.
A successful candidate for this position would have the following skills and knowledge:
• Well-versed in VLAN design and configuration across multiple platforms
• IP routing, XDSL transmission and translation, switch translations, IP Technology, T-1 technology, switch translations and fiber optic technology
• Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA)
• Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP)
• Strong background in electronics: basic AC/DC power
• Identify color coding for cables
Qualified candidates for this position should:
• Pass a background check and drug test. This is a safety sensitive position.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a valid driver license with no major violations.
• Understand communication technologies, new technologies in the market and industry changes.
• Demonstrate analytical reasoning ability.
• Communicate with customers effectively and professionally.
