Arkansas Northeastern College issued the following announcement on Sept. 29.
Twenty, six-person teams filled the course of the Blytheville Country Club on September 27, 2021, for the 30th Annual Yamato Kogyo/ANC Foundation Scholarship Golf Tournament. With beautiful weather, participants were able to enjoy the event, along with a sushi and hamburger lunch. After having to cancel last year's tournament due to the pandemic, players enjoyed the opportunity to participate this year, but missed many of our Japanese friends who were unable to attend due to quarantine restrictions upon returning to Japan. Mr. Norio Iino, President of the Yamato Holding Company located in Blytheville, presented ANC President Dr. James Shemwell and members of the ANC Foundation Board of Governors with a check for $30,000.
