Dear Madam President: Pursuant to the Rules of the Select Committee on Ethics, this is to notify you that Senator Christopher A. Coons, Chairman of the Select Committee on Ethics, and Senator James Lankford, Vice Chairman of the Select Committee on Ethics, in their discretion and as permitted under Committee Rules, disqualified themselves from participating in Preliminary Inquiry Case Numbers 30094 and 30226.
Pursuant to Senate Resolution 179, we, Senator Brian Schatz and Senator James Risch, were appointed Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively for these matters. Additionally, Senator Ben Ray Lujan and Senator John Boozman were appointed to the Select Committee on Ethics for these matters.
