ARKANSAS ADJUTANT GENERAL: Guatemala Ejercitogt Counterparts

Arkansas Adjutant General issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.

The ARNG Department of Military Support (DOMS) and the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management (ADEM) host our #Guatemala #ejercitogt counterparts at the Joint Operations Center, Camp Robinson, this week. Participants from each Army Brigade and Air Wing staff and Joint Staff members and Liaisons along with Civil Air Patrol representatives work through emergency scenarios with the Guatemala representatives, including members from their humanitarian search and rescue brigade, Director of Operations, and Director of Communications and Information.

These partnership sessions explore incident awareness, analysis, planning, interoperability, and execution of Requests for Assistance and missions for a variety of potential disasters such as flooding, earthquakes, storms, and even discussed some more common crisis experienced in Guatemala like volcanoes and wildfires. The shared experiences and lessons-learned help achieve the goals of the State Partnership Program between Arkansas and Guatemala which has existed since 2002. The program fosters mutual interests and establishes and maintains habitual long-term relationships across all levels of society; encouraging the development of economic, political and military ties between Arkansas and Guatemala.

El Departamento de Operaciones Domesticas de la Guardia Nacional de Arkansas (DOMS) y la División de Manejo de Emergencias de Arkansas (ADEM) reciben esta semana a nuestros hermanos guatemaltecos en el Centro de Operaciones Conjuntas, Camp Robinson,. Los participantes de cada personal de la Brigada del fuerzas de Tierra y de Aire, miembros del Estado Mayor Conjunto, Enlaces y representantes de la Patrulla Aérea Civil trabajan en escenarios de emergencia con miembros del Ejercito de Guatemalaintegrado por miembros la brigade especial de búsqueda y rescate humanitario, Director de Operaciones del Estado Mayor Conjunto y miembros de la compañia de Comunicaciones y Transmisiones.

Estos ejercicios de asociación Estado Amigo exploran el conocimiento de incidentes, el análisis, la planificación, la interoperabilidad y la ejecución de solicitudes de ayuda humanitaria y misiones para diversas misiones de desastres tales como inundaciones, terremotos, tormentas e incluso se hablaron temas de crisis comunes en Guatemala como erucpcion de volcanes e incendios forestales. Las experiencias compartidas y las lecciones aprendidas ayudan a lograr las metas del Programa Estado Amigo entre Arkansas y Guatemala, establecida el 2002. El programa fomenta intereses mutuos y establece y mantiene relaciones Fuertes y Fomenta el desarrollo de los lazos económicos, políticos y militares entre Arkansas y Guatemala.
