Arkansas Adjutant General issued the following announcement on July 31.
Personnel present in any Arkansas National Guard facility located on Fort Chaffee, Ebbing Air National Guard Base, the 189th Airlift Wing campus on Little Rock Air Force Base, Jonesboro Armed Forces Readiness Center, Hot Springs AFRC, El Dorado AFRC and Gum Springs AFRC will comply with the Deputy Secretary of Defense updated mask wear guidance, as those locations are considered federally funded facilities.
The guidance is: All service members, federal employees, onsite contractor employees, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, WILL WEAR A MASK in an indoor setting at those locations. Additionally, service members, federal employees, onsite contractor employees, and visitors who are NOT FULLY VACCINATED must also continue to physically distance consistent with applicable CDC and DoD Force Health Protection guidance.
Installations that are state owned and federally funded are considered to be under the ownership of the state and are NOT subject to the Deputy Secretary of Defense’s updated mask wear guidance. This includes Camp Joseph T. Robinson (minus the National Guard Bureau’s Professional Education Center) and all armories not previously listed. Personnel present in National Guard facilities located on Camp Robinson (minus PEC) and armories not listed above are still highly encouraged to, but are NOT REQUIRED to wear masks.
Military members and employees in all categories should direct questions to their chain of command/supervisor.
