Arkansas Adjutant General issued the following announcement on July 13.

Arkansas Air National Guard Staff Sgt. Joshua Jones, a 189th Civil Engineer Squadron emergency manager, demonstrated the capabilities of the Mobile Emergency Operations Center to members of the East Carroll Parish Sheriff's Department in Lake Providence, La., while taking part in Delta Wellness 2021. The MEOC is a mobile command post with an array of communications equipment on board that can be used to communicate directly with local, county, state and federal emergency responders.

Delta Wellness 2021 is a joint-service medical mission primarily composed of forces from the Air National Guard, Army National Guard and the U.S. Navy Reserve. It's augmented by members of the active-duty Air Force and Navy.

Communities typically provide materials and basic services (e.g. facilities), while military units contribute personnel and training resources. By utilizing their extensive resources, the military is able to meet some of the region’s most urgent health needs. IRT missions produce mission-ready forces, civil-military partnerships, and stronger communities by providing quality healthcare services to communities.

Delta Wellness 2021 is occurring July 9-17 in Lake Village, Ark.; Greenville, Miss.; and Lake Providence, La.
