The companies Kindred and S&H Systems have announced a new partnership that will seek to integrate Kindred's SORT robot system with S&H Systems' infrastructure in order to completely automate the order fulfillment process for retail and e-commerce customers.
This new and improved system will be available for use within a variety of different companies in various industries.
A joint statement said, “The SORT technology allows our customers to expand their order fulfillment opportunities and keep pace with ever-expanding consumer expectations. The SORT platform aligns with our modular, flexible and scalable solutions offerings.”
In the past, S&H Systems has been focused on providing the necessary equipment and materials that provide for an automated picking process. Meanwhile, Kindred specializes in creating software that bridges the gap between various components of order processing systems and ensures communication and collaboration between each of them.
Jeff Roberts, vice president of Systems Sales of S&H Systems, detailed why this partnership was necessary and mutually beneficial.
“As demand pressure on fulfillment operations increases, S&H Systems is extremely excited to partner with Kindred. The SORT technology allows our customers to expand their order fulfillment opportunities and keep pace with ever-expanding consumer expectations. The SORT platform aligns with our modular, flexible and scalable solutions offerings,” Roberts said.
Marin Tchakarov, CEO of Kindred, echoed that sentiment.
“Kindred’s partnership with S&H Systems creates a new standard for retail and e-commerce fulfillment operations. As online consumer demand continues to climb, integrating automated solutions ensures optimum efficiency and throughout any day of the year," Tchakarov said.
Each company has been rising quickly in the industry due to the increased demand for efficiency in picking and sorting systems. With this partnership, they are each expected to become even more competitive in the coming months. The partnership is expected to last years into the future, tying each company to the others' fate.
