For the past 31 years, ABF President Tim Thorne has played a central role in the company, but starting in June, that run will come to an end.
Tim Thorne has announced his retirement from the company effective Wednesday, June 30 of this year.
His successor will be Seth Runser, current ABF vice president, who will be promoted first to ABF COO immediately, and following that will become ABF president on Thursday, July 1. Thorne has been with the company for 31 years, but has been president since 2014.
"Over the past three decades, Tim has made significant and meaningful contributions to our company as ArcBest has expanded and diversified to meet customers’ needs. He has approached each role with integrity, enthusiasm and excellence. I thank Tim for his dedication and longtime service to our organization, and I wish him, his wife Diane and their family the very best. He will be greatly missed," Judy R. McReynolds, ArcBest Chairman president and CEO, said.
The company has been enhanced and has made progress under Thorne's leadership.
