Every state across the nation has seen a drop in its economy since February 2020.
By November, the latest data reveals that a total of 17 states experienced job loss from October and the rest saw a decline in job growth.
In December alone, the country lost 140,000 jobs and was down almost 10 million jobs since February.
Arkansas saw a loss of 40,800 jobs between February and November, which was a 3.2% drop.
Between October and November, the state grew its workforce by 4,500 jobs and had regained 0.4% of the labor force it had in February.
Experts said that the nation needs to tackle COVID-19 to be able to improve the country's economic standing.
One of the hardest hits sectors is food and hospitality with the accommodation and food services industry losing 19.2% of its employment, which translates to 2.8 million jobs.
Other industries reeling from the impact of the pandemic are the arts, entertainment and recreation industry, which lost 27.9% or 690,000 jobs as of November.
