Richard Barnett, one of the Capitol rioters, has been arrested this morning in Little Rock Arkansas.

He has been charged with entering and remaining in the building and restricted grounds without lawful authority, violent entry, and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

The man from Arkansas, who had several photos circulating on local and international news platforms casually sitting with his foot placed on a desk at Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office, has also been charged for theft of public money or public property, Ken Kohl, first assistant for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, told reporters during a conference call. Barnett was allegedly seen taking Speaker Pelosi’s mail and leaving a quarter on her desk.

Scheduled to make his initial appearance in federal court on Tuesday, Barnett might be facing a maximum penalty of one year in prison, according to a news release from the Department of Justice.

The case is currently being investigated by the authorities including the U.S. Capitol Police, FBI’s Washington Field Office, FBI’s Little Rock Office, and Justice Department’s National Security Division.

Several more individuals who joined the D.C. protest on Wednesday are facing charges.

“Today’s charges are just the results of the extensive work done by the FBI and our partners over the last few days. And we are far from done,” Steven D’Antuono, assistant director in charge at FBI Washington Field Office said during a conference call.
