Sparklight announced on May 5 that it will sponsor the Squirrel Sounds ’26 festival, a two-day community event scheduled for May 29–30 in downtown Olney.

The sponsorship highlights Sparklight’s ongoing involvement with local events and its support for community engagement. The festival is hosted by Olney & the Greater Richland County Chamber of Commerce and is free to attend.

The event will feature live musical performances, food trucks, artisan vendors, and art displays. Families can participate in activities at the Kids Corner, which includes face painting, balloon animals, carnival games, and inflatables. As a “Sound the Stage” sponsor, Sparklight’s logo will be displayed on the electronic stage screen and recognized before each performance. Attendees are invited to visit the Sparklight booth to meet staff members and learn about internet services such as Multi-Gig speeds and intelligent Wi-Fi powered by eero. Information about Sparklight Mobile—a new mobile phone service for internet customers—will also be available.

Travis Harr, Sparklight Senior Regional Director for North Central, said: “Community events like Squirrel Sounds bring people together and celebrate the small-town spirit that makes this region so special. Our team is proud to support events that highlight local businesses, artists and families throughout Olney, Mount Carmel, Lawrenceville, Newton and Bridgeport and meet with longtime and new customers.”

Sparklight has provided high-speed internet and mobile phone services to residents and businesses in southeastern Illinois for many years. The company also contributes to local organizations through its Charitable Giving Fund, Dream Bigger program, and employee volunteer efforts.
