The One Big Beautiful Bill Act has been described as a significant investment in American workers, national security, and key industries. Senator John Boozman (R-Ark.) expressed support for the legislation, highlighting its benefits for farmers, ranchers, and rural communities.

According to Boozman, the bill makes direct investments in warfighting capabilities by modernizing the industrial base and expanding naval capacity. It also seeks to replace outdated systems and speed up technological advancements. The legislation allocates $9 billion toward improving services for veterans and their families, including housing, healthcare, childcare, and education.

Boozman emphasized Arkansas’s role in national defense: “Arkansas plays a critical role in supporting our national defense, and the bill’s investments will strengthen our efforts to enhance military readiness from Little Rock to Camden and Pine Bluff to Fort Smith –– a huge win for our state’s economy and prominent role supporting our defense.”

Border security is another focus of the bill. The act provides $50 million for border wall construction and related technologies. Additionally, about $6.2 million is set aside for drug detection technology at ports of entry along with increased resources for identifying and removing drug traffickers. These measures are intended to empower thousands of new border patrol agents.

On energy policy, the bill aims to cut regulatory barriers for producers while promoting reliable power grids in rural areas. Support for domestic energy development is expected to help U.S. companies compete internationally.

Boozman also noted his work as Chairman of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee: “As Chairman of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee, I am especially proud we used this measure to assist farmers, ranchers and ag producers in Arkansas and across the country. We took their input and secured a modernized farm safety net to protect against market volatility and ensure families can continue their efforts…to keep growing the world’s food, fuel and fiber.”

A major element of the bill is tax relief. According to Boozman: “But perhaps the biggest priority that the Republican Congress worked with the Trump administration to achieve was saving the hard-earned income of working Americans from a massive tax increase as well as fraud, waste and abuse.” He stated that a planned $4 trillion tax hike was prevented by making lower tax rates permanent—a move projected to save average Arkansan households approximately $2,325 annually.

Boozman concluded: “From strengthening our military and borders to supporting American taxpayers and the industries they rely on, the One Big Beautiful Bill is a commitment to delivering for all Arkansans.”
