The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) has adjusted the design for the proposed Pocahontas Bypass project following public feedback from a meeting on June 10. The project aims to construct a two-lane road north of Pocahontas, connecting Highway 90 to Highway 67.

To address community concerns and reduce property impacts, ARDOT’s revised plan includes shifting the alignment of Country Club Road to the northeast and adding a retaining wall along Highway 90. These changes are intended to maintain local access while minimizing effects on nearby businesses.

ARDOT expressed gratitude for the public’s input and affirmed its commitment to aligning the project with community needs and priorities. The updated design details are available online for public viewing. Those without internet access can contact Matt Strawn at (501) 569-2281 or via email at matt.strawn@ardot.gov for more information about the project.
