A woman from Pulaski County, Arkansas, won $50,000 while running errands. D. Butler claimed her prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center on July 23. The winning ticket was purchased at Cana Food Mart in North Little Rock.

Butler is a regular lottery player who enjoys scratch-offs. During her errands, she stopped for a drink and decided to try the $50,000 Frenzy game, which she hadn’t played before. After purchasing the $20 ticket and scratching it in her car, she discovered she had won the top prize of $50,000.

“No way, no way, no way!” Butler thought upon realizing her win. Despite dreaming of a big win, she was surprised by the amount. Her husband was also astonished when he saw the photo of the winning ticket.

“I still don’t believe it!” Butler said at the ASL Claim Center. She mentioned that this was her first time winning such an amount.

There are still thirty-six top prizes worth $50,000 available in the $50,000 Frenzy game.

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has been operating since 2009 and has provided over $1.5 billion for scholarships benefiting Arkansas students through sales exceeding $8 billion. The lottery has awarded more than $5 billion in prizes to players and contributed significant amounts in retailer commissions and tax revenue.
