For an Arkansas resident, a regular stop at the gas station led to a significant lottery win. J. Jones from Pulaski County claimed a $50,000 prize playing the $20 instant game $50,000 Frenzy. He collected his winnings at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center on June 25.

The winning ticket was purchased at Murphy USA #7928 on Bryant Ave. in Bryant. Jones explained his decision to buy the ticket: “I was just bored! I hadn’t bought any tickets in a while and wanted to try.” Noticing that several top prizes were still available for $50,000 Frenzy, he decided to purchase one.

Jones only bought one of these tickets that day along with a few $5 tickets. It turned out to be enough as he won the top prize.

After scratching off the ticket in his car, Jones returned to the store to scan it and received a message instructing him to visit the ASL Claim Center. The store clerk informed him, “It means you have to claim your prize downtown!” Jones was thrilled when he realized he had won $50,000.

He has not shared this news with anyone yet and plans to save his winnings. There are still 45 top prizes of $50,000 remaining for $50,000 Frenzy.
