Public comment open for highway intersection improvement plan in Gravette

The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) has announced the availability of a draft Section 4(f) evaluation document concerning proposed improvements at the intersection of Highway 59 and Highway 72 in Gravette. This document is part of compliance with Section 4(f) of the U.S. Department of Transportation Act of 1966, which safeguards public parks, recreation areas, wildlife refuges, and historic sites from adverse impacts due to transportation projects.

The public is invited to review the document and submit written comments online. The deadline for submitting comments is Monday, November 10, at 4:30 p.m. Those without internet access can contact Matt Strawn at (501) 569-2281 or via email at matt.strawn@ardot.gov for more information about the project.

In line with federal civil rights statutes, ARDOT ensures nondiscrimination in its programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance. “Therefore, ARDOT does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, age, national origin, religion (not applicable as a protected group under the FMCSA Title VI Program), or disability in the admission, access to and treatment in ARDOT’s programs and activities,” said ARDOT.
