The Powerball jackpot has climbed to $526 million for the drawing set for Wednesday, August 13. According to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, eight players from Arkansas have claimed Powerball prizes exceeding $500 so far this year, with two winning at least $100,000.

Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Each draw consists of five white balls numbered between 1 and 69 and one Powerball numbered between 1 and 26. To secure the jackpot, a player must match all six numbers drawn. Players who match only some of the numbers can still win other prizes.

Tickets are priced at $2 per play. Sales close at 8:59 p.m. on the night of each drawing. For an extra $1, players can add the Power Play option, which increases non-jackpot winnings by up to ten times. If a player matches all five white balls without matching the Powerball number and uses Power Play, they could win up to $2 million.

Tickets can be bought from licensed retailers in Arkansas or through retailer apps provided by ASL’s Play on the Go partners. More information about these options is available on the Where To Play page of the ASL website.
