The Piggott School District released its daily announcements on April 20, highlighting important events and reminders for students in the upcoming week.

The announcement covers a range of topics including meetings, academic opportunities, extracurricular activities, and deadlines. Students interested in joining the chess team are invited to attend a meeting on Tuesday during Advisory in room 207. Those in grades nine through eleven who want to take a concurrent college class for the first time should see Mrs. Amber for a referral form. PreACT score reports are available from Mrs. Amber’s office for ninth and tenth graders who participated.

Thursday, April 23 is the last day to order yearbooks either online or by submitting forms to Mrs. Huckabay in the office. Students needing community service hours can volunteer at Little League games by contacting Ms. Elisha Brown via email or help with the Summer Feeding Program by signing up with Mrs. Amber.

Other reminders include deadlines such as May 8 for ACT registration and several scholarship application due dates ranging from April 22 through May 1, including local scholarships and those offered by organizations like Clay County Farm Bureau and AASSP. Seniors have been asked to fill out forms regarding final transcript destinations and are reminded about applications such as FAFSA at studentaid.gov.

In addition to academics, there are sports events scheduled throughout the week with softball (SB) and baseball (BB) games against various schools, along with Jr Track District meets listed each day until Thursday.

Lunch menus were also provided for each school day this week except Friday when there is no school scheduled.
