The Piggott School District released its daily announcements for students and staff on April 14. The bulletin includes information about upcoming meetings, scholarship opportunities, school events, and reminders for the week.

The announcements are important as they inform students about key deadlines, extracurricular activities, and available resources. They also provide guidance to seniors preparing for graduation and further education.

Students interested in joining the golf team are invited to a meeting on Wednesday during advisory in the Middle Gym. There will also be a pace meeting for grades seven through nine on Thursday during advisory. Mrs. Amber has begun meeting with students regarding schedules for next year and encourages prompt return of registration forms.

For those planning to attend after prom, Coach B is compiling a list of attendees at no cost. Activities will include games, karaoke, prizes, food options such as a coffee bar and dirty soda bar, as well as attractions like a mechanical bull and casino games. The “Tattoo a Teacher” fundraiser runs until April 14 with teachers revealing their tattoos on April 15.

Juniors and seniors who plan to bring an out-of-school date or someone not in grades eleven or twelve to prom must pick up permission forms from the office or purchase tickets from Mrs. Huckabay by April 15.

Other reminders include bus riders waiting until boarding before using cell phones in the afternoon; signing up with Mrs. Amber if interested in helping with the Summer Feeding Program; cheer tryout sign-ups available in the office; respectful use of parking lots during after-school pickup; grade checking instructions via HAC; lunch menus for each day of the week; athletic event schedules including softball (SB), baseball (BB), and track meets; blood drive details scheduled for April 17 where eligible donors may receive an e-gift card from Red Cross.
