The Piggott School District released its daily announcements on April 22, highlighting student achievements, reminders for students, and key upcoming deadlines. Belle Lovelace was recognized for winning third place in the mixed media category of Congressman Crawford’s Congressional Art Competition.

The announcements included instructions for several students to report to Mrs. Huckabay’s room during first hour and provided information on academic opportunities such as concurrent college classes. Students who took the PreACT were reminded to pick up their score reports from Mrs. Amber’s office, while those interested in community service hours were encouraged to volunteer at Little League games or assist with the Summer Feeding Program.

Important dates were outlined for yearbook orders, ACT registration, and scholarship applications. Thursday, April 23 is the last day to order a yearbook, and May 8 is the deadline to register for the June ACT test. Several scholarships are available with application deadlines ranging from April 22 through May 1; seniors were reminded about forms related to final transcripts and various local scholarships.

Additional reminders addressed school procedures such as after-school pickup locations, proper classroom visitation etiquette, bus rider rules regarding cell phone use, and checking grades online through HAC. The week’s lunch menu was also shared along with schedules for junior track district events and softball/baseball games.

The announcement concluded by reminding juniors and seniors about prom permission forms for out-of-school guests and providing contact information for volunteering opportunities.
