A new traffic pattern is set to be implemented on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The change, scheduled for 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, will affect South Futrall Drive just south of MLK Blvd., according to the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).

The adjustment aims to facilitate the construction of a new traffic lane that will enable motorists to travel from South Futrall Drive to South Shiloh Drive without passing through signalized intersections. This development is part of the ongoing MLK Blvd. Interchange project.

As part of the changes, westbound traffic on MLK Blvd. will no longer be able to turn left onto South Futrall Drive, and eastbound traffic will not be able to turn right onto the same road. Additionally, South Futrall Drive will be permanently designated for northbound traffic only south of MLK Blvd., while the current configuration of the northbound off-ramp at MLK Blvd. will remain unchanged.

For further travel information, ARDOT directs individuals to visit IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov.
