Three Arkansas residents claimed major lottery prizes at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center last week, according to a March 17 announcement. Lula J. of Nevada County won $95,000 in the March 7 Natural State Jackpot drawing and claimed her prize on March 11.

The news highlights recent luck for players across the state and underscores the ongoing popularity of Arkansas Scholarship Lottery games. The lottery has awarded significant sums to players while also supporting scholarships for students in Arkansas.

Lula purchased her winning Quick Pick ticket at G Quick Mart in Prescott and discovered she had matched all five numbers after checking online. In disbelief, she consulted her son before realizing she had indeed won the jackpot. “Are you seeing what I’m seeing?” Lula asked. She plans to buy a new car with her winnings and said, “Today’s the day!”

Two other winners also claimed top prizes from scratch-off tickets. Alton H. from West Fork won $75,000 playing Mega Cash Crossword after buying his ticket at E-Z Mart #4318 in West Fork. Alton enjoys crossword-inspired games and said, “It’s a good game to play in my downtime.” After discovering his win inside the store, he celebrated with clerks and called his nephew to see the ticket firsthand. He plans to renovate his home with his winnings and added, “I like it even more now!” Two $75,000 top prizes remain on Mega Cash Crossword.

Jonathan D., a White Hall resident, won $50,000 playing $50,000 Stacked after purchasing his ticket at United Food Mart Dollarway Road in Pine Bluff. Jonathan prefers $20 tickets for their higher payouts and scratched off his winning ticket in the parking lot. “I was in shock,” Jonathan told lottery officials. His wife shared his surprise upon hearing about the win: “Is that real?” Jonathan intends to keep playing for bigger prizes and said, “This won’t be my last big win!” There are still fifty-seven $50,000 top prizes left on $50,000 Stacked.

Since its inception in 2009, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has sold over $8 billion worth of tickets and returned more than $1.6 billion for scholarships benefiting Arkansas students. As of Feb. 28, 2026, more than 873,000 college scholarships have been distributed by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education using lottery funds.
