The Mega Millions jackpot has reached $497 million, marking the largest prize since changes to the game were introduced in April. The jackpot has been won four times this year, with the most recent win at $348 million in June.

Recent enhancements to Mega Millions include improved odds and a new multiplier feature. Since these updates, 40 players in Arkansas have won prizes of at least $1,000. Two tickets worth $1,500 each were sold in Arkansas for the September 26 drawing.

Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m., with ticket sales closing at 9:45 p.m. on draw nights. Each play costs $5. To win the jackpot, players must match all five numbers plus the Mega Ball number. Other prizes range from $10 up to $10 million.

Tickets can be purchased from licensed retailers or through retailer apps via Play on the Go partners. More information about these options is available on the Where To Play page of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) website.

The ASL reports that since its start in 2009, it has sold over $8 billion in tickets and contributed more than $1.5 billion for scholarships benefiting Arkansas students. Over 822,000 college scholarships have been awarded by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education using lottery funds. In addition, more than $5.5 billion has been paid out in prizes, over $459 million given as retailer commissions, and more than $188 million generated in state and federal tax revenue.

“Players must be 18 years of age or older,” according to information provided by ASL officials.
