Arkansas residents have two opportunities to win large prizes this week as the Mega Millions and LOTTO jackpots both increase ahead of their respective drawings.

The Mega Millions jackpot has reached $400 million for tonight’s drawing, marking its highest amount since a game change earlier this year. In April, Mega Millions introduced updates intended to improve players’ chances of winning larger non-jackpot prizes. The new built-in multiplier now multiplies non-jackpot winnings by factors ranging from 2 to 10, replacing the previous Megaplier feature. Non-jackpot prize amounts now start at $10 and can reach up to $10 million. When the jackpot is won, it resets at $50 million rather than the former $20 million starting point.

Since these changes took effect, 38 Arkansas lottery participants have received prizes of at least $1,000. Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m., with ticket sales closing at 9:45 p.m. Tickets cost $5 per play.

Another significant prize is available in Wednesday night’s LOTTO drawing, which is played exclusively in Arkansas. The LOTTO jackpot stands at $1.11 million—the highest since February when a record-setting $5.123 million was awarded to a single winner. Drawings for LOTTO occur each Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m., with tickets priced at $2 per play and sales ending at 8:59 p.m.

Both Mega Millions and LOTTO tickets can be purchased from licensed Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) retailers or through retailer apps via ASL’s Play on the Go partners. More information about locations where tickets are sold is available on the ASL website’s Where To Play page (https://myarkansaslottery.com/where-to-play).

For further details about lottery games or how to participate, Arkansans can visit MyArkansasLottery.com (https://myarkansaslottery.com/).

According to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, since its inception in 2009 more than $8 billion has been generated in ticket sales, resulting in over $1.5 billion directed toward scholarships for students across the state. Over 822,000 college scholarships have been awarded by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education with funds provided by ASL proceeds.

The lottery also reports awarding more than $5.5 billion in prizes to players, providing over $459 million in commissions to retailers statewide, and generating upwards of $188 million for state and federal tax revenues.

“The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) creates winning people, winning futures, and winning moments,” states an official description from ASL.

Information about scholarships, winners, odds and promotions is available through ASL’s online platforms including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram or directly on their website MyArkansasLottery.com (https://myarkansaslottery.com/). Support for problem gambling is accessible via the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-522-4700 or organizations such as Gamblers Anonymous (http://www.gamblersanonymous.org).

Players must be age 18 or older to purchase lottery tickets in Arkansas.
