The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery announced on Mar. 18 that the LOTTO jackpot has climbed to $1.008 million for tonight’s drawing, while a Washington County resident recently claimed a $180,000 Natural State Jackpot (NSJ) prize.

The rising LOTTO jackpot offers Arkansas players another opportunity to win significant prizes. Since its launch in 2022, the Arkansas-only draw game has produced five jackpot winners, including a Yell County winner of $5.123 million and a Sebastian County winner of $2.338 million.

LOTTO drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m., with tickets available for $2 per play until 8:59 p.m. on draw nights. After each win, the jackpot resets to $250,000 and increases with subsequent drawings.

In addition to the growing LOTTO prize, Brenda F. from Washington County won the NSJ’s $180,000 jackpot in the Feb. 25 drawing and claimed her winnings at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center on March 13. Brenda said she usually plays lottery games a few times each month using the Jackpocket mobile app for convenience and had reused an old set of numbers when she purchased her winning ticket just hours before the draw.

“At first, I thought it was going to be $1,” Brenda said after receiving an email about her win. Upon checking her ticket and realizing she matched all five numbers—1, 10, 26, 29 and 36—she woke up her husband to share the news. “It still doesn’t feel real,” Brenda told lottery officials.

Brenda is considering buying a new home with her prize money. The next NSJ drawing offers a jackpot of $100,000.

Tickets for both LOTTO and NSJ can be purchased at licensed retailers or through Play on the Go partners’ retailer apps listed on the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery website.

Since its inception in 2009, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has sold over $8 billion in tickets and provided more than $1.5 billion for scholarships benefiting over 822,000 students across Arkansas.
