The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery announced on Apr. 15 that the LOTTO jackpot has risen to $1.203 million for Wednesday night’s drawing, marking the fourth-highest prize in the game’s history.

This increase gives Arkansas players another opportunity to win a large sum through a game played and won only within the state. Last year, two Arkansans claimed LOTTO jackpots, including a Yell County resident who set a record with a $5.123 million win in February.

LOTTO drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m., with six numbers and an additional Bonus Number drawn each time. To secure the jackpot, players must match all six main numbers in any order. Other prizes up to $25,000 are available for those matching at least three winning numbers, regardless of whether they have the Bonus Number.

Tickets cost $2 per play and can be purchased from licensed retailers or through apps associated with Play on the Go partners of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery until ticket sales close at 8:59 p.m. on draw nights. Players must be at least 18 years old to participate.

Since its inception in 2009, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has sold over $8 billion worth of tickets and contributed more than $1.6 billion toward scholarships benefiting students across Arkansas. As of March 31, it has awarded more than $5.7 billion in prizes to players, paid out over $479 million in retailer commissions, and provided upwards of $458 million in tax revenue.
