The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery announced on Apr. 10 that the LOTTO jackpot has reached $1.177 million ahead of the Saturday night drawing.

The rising jackpot gives Arkansas players a chance to win a significant prize, with LOTTO being an exclusive draw game available only within the state. In the most recent drawing held on April 8, there were 2,407 winners, including ten who won at least $500 and three who took home $1,500 each.

LOTTO drawings are scheduled every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m., with tickets costing $2 per play. Players select six numbers between one and forty plus a Bonus Number; matching all six winning numbers secures the jackpot. Additional prizes are available for those matching three or more numbers, regardless of whether they have matched the Bonus Number.

After someone wins the jackpot, it resets to $250,000 and increases with each subsequent draw if not claimed. Tickets can be purchased at licensed retailers or through retailer apps affiliated with Play on the Go partners of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery. Participants must be at least eighteen years old to play.

Since its inception in 2009, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery reports over $8 billion in sales and more than $1.6 billion returned for scholarships benefiting students across Arkansas. Over 873,000 college scholarships have been awarded by the Department of Higher Education using lottery proceeds as of March 31, with more than $5.7 billion paid out in prizes.
