The Little Rock men’s golf team will finish its regular season at the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana, beginning Saturday, April 17. The two-day event at The Pfau Course at Indiana University serves as the team’s final competition before heading to the Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championship later this month.
This tournament is important for Little Rock as it offers a last chance to prepare and build momentum ahead of postseason play. The Trojans are looking to fine-tune their lineup and sharpen their skills against a strong field.
Little Rock returns after competing in The Goodwin hosted by Stanford, where they finished 22nd out of 30 teams. That event included 11 nationally ranked programs and provided valuable experience for the Trojans, who posted rounds of 297 (+10), 288 (+1), and 297 (+10) for a total score of 21-over par.
The Hoosier Collegiate Invitational features a competitive field with fifteen teams, including four that are nationally ranked: Illinois (No.14), Kansas (No.40), Purdue (No.42), and Northwestern (No.46). Other participating schools include Ball State, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Ohio State, Rutgers, Toledo, Wisconsin—and Little Rock itself.
The Pfau Course is known as one of the premier collegiate venues in the country due to its modern design and strategic layout that challenges players’ precision over three rounds totaling fifty-four holes.
As the regular season concludes this weekend in Bloomington, Little Rock aims to use this opportunity to prepare for the Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championship scheduled for April 26-29 on Purdue University’s campus.
