Little Rock took the lead on April 26 after the first round of the 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championship at Ackerman Hills in West Lafayette, Indiana. The Trojans posted a team score of five-under-par 279, putting them five shots ahead of Southern Indiana as they move into Monday’s second round.

The strong opening performance was highlighted by head coach Austin Eoff, who said, “Solid start to the week with all rounds counted at par or better.” Little Rock was the only team to finish under par for the day, separating from Southern Indiana (284, even) and UT Martin (+3).

Mark Stockdale led Little Rock with a three-under-par 68 and sits alone atop the individual leaderboard after 18 holes. “Mark had a solid day out there with a clean scorecard,” Eoff said. Ed Featherstone and Elliott Simonsen each shot one-under-par rounds of 70 to tie for fifth place individually. Rhett South added an even-par 71, while Viggo Talasmaki completed scoring for Little Rock with a two-over-par 73.

Despite their early advantage, Eoff noted that there is room for improvement as play continues. “As we look to tomorrow, we need to perform a little better on a couple of the par 5s,” he said.

Weather conditions are expected to change on Monday. Eoff commented on this factor: “It will be windy tomorrow which I think suits us well.” Fans can follow live scoring through tournament updates.
