The Arkansas Department of Transportation has announced that the southbound outside lane on Interstate 555, over Ditch Number 60 of the St. Francis Sunken Lands near Payneway, will be closed for repairs. The closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, starting December 1 and continuing until December 18.

The lane closures are necessary to allow crews to repair the bridge’s substructure. Weather conditions may affect the schedule. To inform motorists about the closures and detour routes, digital message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage will be used.
