Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office announces arrest of Paul Weeks in theft investigation

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office announced on April 27 that Paul Weeks, age 32, has been arrested following an investigation into a series of thefts and burglaries in Jefferson County.

Weeks was identified as a suspect by the Criminal Investigation Division. According to the sheriff’s office, investigators worked with several law enforcement agencies across Arkansas in areas where Weeks was known to travel. It was determined during this coordination that Weeks is also suspected of involvement in other theft-related incidents outside Jefferson County.

On April 26, officers from the Malvern Police Department encountered Weeks as he attempted to steal a vehicle. He fled from officers but was later apprehended and is currently being held at the Hot Springs County Detention Center. Investigators have interviewed him and placed a hold for charges including Commercial Burglary, Theft of Property, and Criminal Trespass. The investigation remains ongoing, with efforts underway to recover property believed stolen by Weeks. Additional charges may be filed as it continues.
