The Garland County Sheriff’s Office announced on May 8 that it will host a Fallen Officer Memorial Ceremony on Wednesday, May 13, at its office located at 525 Ouachita Avenue. The event is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM.

The ceremony is part of Police Week and aims to honor and remember law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. The sheriff’s office invites members of the community to join them in paying tribute and showing support for the families of fallen officers.

“Please join the Garland County Sheriff’s Office as we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty,” organizers said. “As part of Police Week, we invite the community to attend the Fallen Officer Memorial and stand with us in remembrance, gratitude, and support for the families of our fallen heroes.”

The event will offer an opportunity for residents to gather together in reflection and solidarity during Police Week.

Organizers said they hope many people from across Garland County will attend this special evening dedicated to honoring those who served.
