The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office announced on April 20 that a drug take-back event will be held Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tractor Supply Company parking lot located at 1025 Highway 62 East in Mountain Home. Residents are invited to bring expired or unused medications for safe disposal, with no questions asked.

This initiative aims to provide the community with a secure way to dispose of unwanted pharmaceuticals and prevent potential misuse or environmental harm. Sheriff’s deputies will be present during the event to assist participants as needed.

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office works closely with organizations such as the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force to address narcotics issues across multiple counties, according to the official website.
